For the past 15 days, the ongoing student protest in Jharkhand surrounding the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC 2025) Combined Civil\u00a0 Services Preliminary Examination 2025 has now finally reached the Hon\u2019ble Supreme Court, with Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by advocate Satyam Rajput on behalf of ME seeking an independent investigation into the alleged irregularities surrounding the examination and the re-conduct of the exam.<\/p>\n

The 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC 2025) Combined Civil Service Preliminary Examination, which was conducted on April 19, 2026, sparked major controversy, resulting in a student protest in Ranchi at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium. The core issues surrounding this examination included the viral OMR sheet, which was allegedly circulated, of a candidate\u2019s carbon copy showing only 48 questions out of 100 questions attempted in one paper yet passing the mains, though various claims of other students saying that they have scored 299 out of 300 yet unqualified the preliminary round. Not just that, but the result was released without category-wise cut-offs and without the commissioner’s signature. These irregularities aren\u2019t just errors but blunders by the Jharkhand government, due to which lakhs of students from the past two decades are constantly facing issues and are unable to secure their better future.<\/p>\n

Therefore, I have approached the Hon\u2019ble Supreme Court through a petition<\/strong><\/a>, seeking judicial intervention in the matter, which ensures transparency, accountability, and fairness in the examination process.<\/p>\n

At the core of this issue are lakhs of students who spent years preparing for one examination, which secures their future, as for them it\u2019s not merely a simple test, but it represents years of hard work, personal sacrifices, financial pressure, and a hope of building a better future.<\/p>\n

Now these students are protesting and demanding answers from the state government, with many aspirants resorting to hunger strikes and continuing their protest even in the rain. Therefore, this petition raises concerns over the exam and seeks justice for the grieving students.<\/p>\n
